Special Discounts Offered to Returning Soldiers

Who says buying imports isn’t patriotic? Japanese import carmaker Toyota and the luxury brand spinoff Lexus are offering special APRs to military personnel coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Not that they’re the only ones who qualify; any Active Duty, Reserve Status, or Inactive Reserve Status soldier is able to qualify for the discounted rates.
The details: Toyota buyers receive an APR of 1.9% for a maximum term military auto loan of 60 months plus a $500 rebate on any 2011 or 2012 model. Lexus buyers get an even better deal, with a 0.9% APR on select models with a $750 rebate.
But the offer isn’t forever. The special APRs end February 29th for Lexus and March 5th for Toyota. The rebate programs will be around longer, until 2012 for Lexus and 2013 for Toyota.
