How To Help U.S. Vets Get A New Toyota

To be clear, we are not talking about each individual U.S. vet, but the non-profit organization United States Veterans Initiative (U.S.VETS).  U.S. Vets provides a variety of services directly to homeless and at-risk veterans. The group has 11 sites and serves over 2,000 veterans and their families daily by providing case management, employment assistance, job placement, counseling, as well as drug- and alcohol-free housing.

Now, on to how you can help the group get a new Toyota, no military auto loan needed. The group is one of 500 finalists in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program. This program will award vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public. Toyota will showcase five of the finalists per day on its Facebook page, where you can place your vote. U.S. Vets will be featured on August 1, 2011. Here is a link where you can place your vote:  facebook.com/toyota

You do not have to agree with the current wars or past military actions of this country. Veterans did their jobs, isn’t it part of yours to help them if you can?
