A Military Discount Does Not Guarantee A Bad Credit Auto Loan
Most automakers show their appreciation to members of the military by offering a discount on their products that can be combined with other incentives. Problems do arise when the person applying for a loan with these discounts has a poor credit history. Eligibility for a military discount does not guarantee a bad credit auto loan.
Lenders who specialize in bad credit auto loans have a set of criteria that a consumer has to meet. Those guidelines include a monthly payment amount that they will allow a buyer to incur. If military personnel are applying for military auto loans that will exceed these guidelines, they will be denied a loan for the car that they have chosen.
Second chance financing is often best applied to a mid-range used car. The payments will be lower and it is easier to get approved. If you need a new car, look at less expensive models. While a bad credit auto loan may not cover your dream car, it is a great place to start over. One subprime loan could jump start your credit enough that you will not need a second.
